On
April 12th, Easter Sunday, the Rockford Master's Commission
worship team did a live recording called Anthems.
Our prayer is that through this album, people will feel a compelling
to worship God at a new level. We believe that our God is worthy
of a deep, unified, and passionate level of worship and that
is what we aim to offer.
All proceeds from
this project will go towards our scholarship fund which allows
people to come to RMC that wouldn't ordinarily have been
able to afford it.
Here are the stories
of just two students who have been recipients of rmc scholarships.
Almost 8 years ago, I sent
in my application to Rockford Master's Commission. A few months
later, I received a letter informing me that I had been given
a full scholarship to RMC. A few months after that, I packed
a suitcase and left the little kingdom of Swaziland, Africa,
where I had spent most of my life and embarked on a journey
that I am still on today. I spent two years at RMC. My first
year was a year of brokenness as I encountered culture shock,
experienced my first Illinois winter(during the House of Horrors),
and finally learned that grace means I have nothing to offer
Him, and yet He loves me so much that He offers me everything.
My second year was a time of soaking in- soaking in knowledge(Berean!),
soaking in friendships, and soaking in more of the faithfulness
of my Father! Without the scholarship I was given, I would
not have had the opportunity to go halfway across the world,
experience an entirely new culture, make friendships I still
have today, and more importantly, gain a foundation, passion,
and intimacy with Christ that defines who I am and continues
to impact 'my world'!

I wouldn't have been able to
be a part of RMC for the past three years without a homeopener
scholarship. It's plain and simple really. I wouldn't have
been able to afford it. It's been such a financial blessing.
On the other, more important side of things, I wouldn't have
learned about what genuine love is either. There's something
special that happens when a family makes you part of their
own. It's biblical really. I have been shown different aspects
of God's love through being in a homeopener family for the
past three years. It has been one of the biggest blessings
in my life, and I can honestly say that I would not be where
I am, or know the things I know, without having this experience.
